A Killing in the Keys
A Killing in the Keys
Jacksonville Judas’ beloved hero, Wade Nevlin, has retired to Key West to forget his painful past in Jacksonville, rife with loss. After a friend introduces him to AA, Wade fulfills his dream of starting a charter boat company aboard the Beverly, named after his cherished, late wife. His new life includes a cadre of new friends, a charming cottage and his beloved dog, Sandy.
Author's inspiration in writing this book
Friends kept asking for a sequel and for Wade to have a love interest with both a murder and romance. So I did and made his love interest Latina to honor all my Spanish speaking friends, though none of them became characters in this book.
What Readers Are Saying
“A Killing in the Keys” is a very intriguing read for the mystery lover! Enjoyed that the story takes place in Key West and Miami in 2017 and all of the references to well known Key West locations! The characters are very nicely developed and the title of the book is well chosen. Loved the vocabulary! I could not figure out the killer. Great second novel and there could be another novel for the protagonist, Wade Nevlin! Loved his romantic interest, Melina! Highly recommended!!

Review on A Killing in the Keys
I thoroughly enjoyed this murder mystery. The plot develops with many interesting characters, several who were suspects in the murder. The romantic interest between Wade and Melina was intriguing and developed slowly. The conclusion with the arrest and conviction of the murderer was surprising. And the final chapter leaves you smiling! I highly recommend this book!

Review on A Killing in the Keys
Once again, Sue Andrews writes a book that’s hard to put down. Rarely do I read a book in one day but ”Jacksonville Judas” is the exception! The characters are thoughtfully introduced, with credible back stories. The plot unfolds carefully, and around each corner more information is provided for the reader to guess whodunit. There is an honest resolution to this detective novel, which in my opinion is the best test of a “good read”. “Jacksonville Judas” is definitely that! Can’t wait for her next book!

Review on Jacksonville Judas: A Novel
If you haven’t been to this part of the country and even if you have, you’ll enjoy visiting the South Coast
with panoramic landscapes, trips to Charleston, Atlanta and even NYC. Prepare to work your way
through a dense crowd of possible murderers. At one time I suspected everybody. Chances are very good
you’ll be surprised at the end.

Review on Jacksonville Judas: A Novel
I am truly amazed at the determination of the human spirit as exemplified by the character in the
book. Sue went through hell many times, both in her relationships with men and her health
issues. She persevered, and was able to achieve her happy ending with her last husband. She so
deserved it.. I read the book in a day because I was simply not able to put it down. I kept
wondering what the next few pages would reveal. Sue not only triumphed, but did so with grace
and could be considered a role model for anyone going through her experiences. She exemplifies
the “never give up” spirit.
